Magnetic Dosing Ring / Funnel 58mm – Aluminium

This aluminium dosing ring snaps onto the rim of any 58mm portafilter and holds there magnetically — no clamping, no threading, no balancing act. Grounds that would normally spray across the bench land inside the basket where they belong.

The extra height above the basket gives you room to work. Dose in, stir with a WDT tool to break up clumps, level off, then lift the ring away and tamp. It comes off as fast as it goes on, so it doesn't slow down back-to-back shots.

Machined from aluminium alloy with a smooth anodised finish, it's light enough to sit on the portafilter without throwing off your grip and rigid enough that it won't warp with daily use. Wipes clean with a dry cloth.

Will it fit my machine?
It fits any portafilter with a 58mm basket — that covers Breville/Sage, Gaggia, Rancilio Silvia, Lelit, Profitec, La Marzocco and most commercial group heads. Measure the inside diameter of your basket if you're unsure. It does not fit 51mm or 54mm portafilters.

Do I need a WDT tool as well?
Not required, but they work as a pair. The ring holds the grounds in while the WDT needles distribute them, which is where most channelling problems get fixed.

Does the magnet interfere with anything?
No. The magnets grip the steel rim of the portafilter only and have no effect on your grinder or machine.

How is this different from a plastic dosing funnel?
Plastic funnels usually sit loose or clip on and shift while you stir. The aluminium build is heavier, holds position magnetically, and doesn't build up static the way plastic does.
